3. How We Disclose Information

We disclose personal information to the following categories of recipients:

  • Service providers that help us run our firm and the Site, including website hosting, analytics (Google Analytics), call tracking and recording (CallRail), live chat and intake (Intaker), and communication tools. They may use the information only to perform services for us.
  • Advertising partners such as Meta (Facebook/Instagram) and Google, which receive internet activity and device identifiers through cookies and pixels. See Section 4.

In the past 12 months, the categories involved are identifiers (device and cookie IDs, IP address) and internet or network activity, disclosed to advertising partners. You can opt out at any time (see Section 7).

We do not sell or share sensitive personal information, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.

4. Cookies, Pixels & Tracking Technologies

We and our partners use cookies, pixels, tags, and similar technologies on the Site:

  • Strictly necessary: required for the Site and its forms to work.
  • Analytics: Google Analytics, to understand how visitors use the Site.
  • Call tracking: CallRail, which displays a tracking phone number so we can tell which ads or pages led to a call.
  • Chat: Intaker, to provide our website chat.
  • Advertising: the Meta Pixel and Google Ads, to measure ad performance and show you our ads on other sites and platforms.

You can manage optional cookies at any time with the Cookie Settings link in the footer of our Site. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings, although some features may not work.

Global Privacy Control. We treat a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal from your browser as a valid request to opt out of the sale and sharing of your personal information for that browser.

Do Not Track. Because there is no common industry standard for “Do Not Track” browser signals, we do not respond to them. We do honor GPC as described above.

To learn more about interest-based advertising or opt out with participating companies, visit optout.aboutads.info. You can also adjust ad settings directly in your Meta and Google accounts.

5. Phone Calls, Call Recording & Text Messages

Call recording. Calls to and from Sunset West Legal Group may be recorded for quality assurance, training, and record-keeping. You will be notified at the start of a recorded call.

Calls and text messages. If you provide your phone number and consent, we may contact you about your inquiry or case by phone call and text message, including calls and texts sent with automated technology. Consent is not a condition of hiring us or receiving services. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of text messages at any time, or HELP for help.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third party, except service providers that help us deliver messages.

6. How Long We Keep Information

  • Inquiries from people who do not become clients: for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to the inquiry, check for conflicts of interest, and meet our professional and legal obligations.
  • Client files: for as long as required by the rules of professional conduct and applicable law, and as needed to defend legal claims.
  • Call recordings: for as long as reasonably necessary for quality assurance, training, and record-keeping, and as required for any related legal matter.
  • Website analytics and advertising data: according to our providers’ retention settings, and no longer than reasonably necessary for analytics and advertising measurement.
